A few customers have shared with us how they have used Navman Wireless to identify issues and improve their bottom line.
Keen golfer practices during work hours
A customer in the construction trade was able to discover how many times one of his foremen had been frequenting the golf club during the week.
Using the Navman Wireless Location Summary Report he identified that the foreman had been working on his handicap instead of the current project.
Keeping warm is a costly affair for the business owner
A customer in the landscaping trade ran the Idle Report after noticing certain vehicles weren't moving but their ignition was on for a very long time!
He discovered the guys were sitting in the cars with the heater running - some for as long as an hour and a half before they got out and worked.
As a result, the customer set up Idle Alerts so Online AVL2 could notify him by phone, text or email if any vehicle idled for more than 10 minutes. He could then address the issue with the employee.
Proof is in the data
A Queensland based trucking company found themselves in hot water after a major road accident that involved one of their trucks.
Speed was seen as a large factor for causing the accident and the matter was taken to court.
The truck driver maintained that he was driving the legal speed limit, so the customer reviewed the truck's activity on the day in question utilising the Activity and Overspeed Report. The manager found that at no time during the day exceeded the speed limit nor did the driver reach the speed he was accused of at the time of the accident.
The reports from Online AVL2 allowed the court to exonerate the driver.
